The STE SK Synchrometer is a German-made, precision airflow meter used by mechanics to balance and tune multi-carburetor or multi-throttle body engines (such as Weber, Dellorto, Solex, or Mikuni). By measuring air intake directly without restricting flow, it provides accurate readings to perfectly equalize airflow across cylinders.
Intake Fit: Fits airhorns and velocity stacks ranging from 1 5/8″ (40mm) to 2 1/8″ (55mm) in diameter.
Measuring Range: Accurately measures air mass from 1 to 30 Kg/Hour, with expanded calibration at the lower end for precise idle adjustments.
Operation: Uses a dampened internal vane for quick, stable readings that do not disrupt the engine’s air-fuel mixture.
Optional adapters are available for smaller or irregularly shaped intakes.
- Engine Warm-Up: Let the engine reach its normal operating temperature.
- Setup: Place the soft rubber cone of the synchrometer tightly against the bell mouth or airhorn of the first carburetor.
- Reading: Read the number on the scale where the indicator settles.
- Balancing: Move the tool to the next carburetor or intake. Adjust the linkage or idle screws so that all intakes draw the exact same amount of air (produce the same flow rate number on the meter)
